I genuinely believe we need to change the conversation around the purpose of life and dying peacefully. We have hidden away the fact that our days on this earth will end. This has created fearful living, lack of communication and understanding regarding life and death. We need to remove the fear that surrounds end of life, to embrace living life fully and accept death as part of this journey. My career as a Paramedic solidified this belief through years of experience; life is fragile and encouraged me to be bold and intentional on my journey. For that I am forever grateful.... being on the frontline of Emergency Services, working with all kinds of people in various circumstances has taught me to enjoy the small moments and recognize sometimes you need to let go of control - in one way or another. I am certain guiding people has always been my Souls work. In today's crazy world, I believe collectively we need to focus on building supportive caring communities to share fully our life’s journey. I have come to understand life on this earth is both...beautifully joyful, as-well-as heavy and challenging. We need to return to leaning on each other in relationships/community and love is the way. In my experience, the only guarantee is that: life always changes and can be unpredictable but, love is always available. I choose daily... to live fully aligned with my values, move towards my purpose, and believe the only consistent solid thing in this world is love and connection.
